Observer Food Monthly Awards 2017
Has it really been 12 months since we asked you to vote for us as Best Independent Retailer in The Observer Food Monthly Awards? It has. Last year, you voted and we were awarded a London runners-up place for the third year running. We would love your help to make it four in a row (or go one better).
Please vote for us.
You can vote by completing the short form on The Observer’s website. You do not need to register with The Guardian/Observer in order to vote. The form is delightfully easy and quick to complete this year. All you need to provide is an email address and you can choose to opt out of all marketing emails from The Guardian/Observer.
Every entry goes into a prize draw for a chance to win holidays, meals out, bread making classes, cocktail masterclasses, hampers and other goodies.
The Best Independent Retailer Award aims to reward good local businesses. Since opening, we have provided a home-grown, local alternative to supermarkets and chains such as Majestic or Oddbins. We’ve welcomed loads of customers, their dogs, bumps, buggies and grumpy adolescents to our free Friday pourings. We’ve suggested Christmas and Easter wines and provided relationship, bereavement, career, Trump and Brexit counselling. We’ve let you in the shop before we’ve opened and after we’ve closed. We’ve chased after you up the road with your credit cards and we’ve loaded wines in the back of your cars as you’ve been driving up Fortis Green Road. We’ve cheered you on throughout your Marathon training and left you alone during Lent. And we’ve done all this with two staff, one of whom has a proper job elsewhere. Your vote, and this award, would mean a lot to us.
Please take a minute (and it really will take just a minute) to give us your vote. Thank you.
