We host informal tastings, usually on a Friday evening, with no pressure to buy. Simply turn up any time during the event and try some wine. If you’d like to buy what you try, there is usually 10% off on the night.

Free South African pouring with Boutinot Wines
Friday 27 October 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
George Randall from Boutinot joins us again. Boutinot supply some of our bestselling wines and George will be here to pour four new wines from South Africa. There will be 10% off the shelf price if you buy on the night. George is pouring from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Free pouring with Jonathan Hesford of Domaine Treloar
Friday 3 November 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
A visit to Domaine Treloar a few years ago set us on the path of owning a wine shop. Jonathan Hesford, owner and winemaker at critically-acclaimed Domaine Treloar, is with us once again to pour a selection of the tremendous quality (and value) wines that he makes in Roussillon with wife Rachel. Jon is here between 5pm and 7.30pm and there will be 10% off on the night if you’d like to buy what you try.
Free pouring with Red Squirrel
Friday 10 November 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
Red Squirrel are one of the fastest growing specialist wine importers in Britain, “drinking outside the box since 2012.” We’re joined by deputy squirrel, Rob Woodhead, for a pouring of four wines from their portfolio. Rob is on pouring duties between 5pm and 7.30pm. There is 10% off the shelf price of featured wines on the night.
Free pouring with Les Caves de Pyrene
Friday 17 November 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
Shop favourite Phil Barnett from low intervention specialists Les Caves de Pyrene joins us for a tasting of four wines new to the shop. Join us and Phil from 5pm. If you buy on the night, there will be 10% off the shelf price of featured wines.
Free pouring with Fields, Morris and Verdin
Friday 24 November 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
We source more wines from Fields, Morris and Verdin than anyone else and Matt from FMV makes his twice-yearly pilgrimage to the shop to pour a selection. With a nod to Christmas, expect some wines perfect for presents or Christmas lunch. Matt is pouring between 5pm and 7.30pm and there will be 10% off the shelf price of featured wines on the night.
Free pouring of Sacred Spirits
Saturday 25 November 2017, 2.30pm to 5pm
We’re joined for our annual pre-Christmas tasting by Ian and Hilary from Sacred Spirits. Ian and Hilary will be pouring a selection of gins and vermouths all made in their house in Highgate. They will also be pouring their new whisky liqueur.
It’s free to attend – simply turn up and try some locally made spirits. All will be available for purchase on the day.
Free pouring with Charles Taylor Wines
Friday 1 December 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
We’re joined for a pre-Christmas pouring by Anthony Vertadier Mabille from Charles Taylor Wines. Anthony will be pourng a selection of classics perfect for Christmas drinking. Join us and Anthony between 5pm and 7.30pm. We have 10% off the shelf price on the night of the wines featured.
Free pouring with Department 33
Friday 8 December 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
Department 33 are our newest supplier, so named because Department 33 in France includes Bordeaux. Our Bordeaux range has really sharpened up this year with the addition of some cracking clarets and white Bordeaux from Department 33’s well-selected portfolio. Director Frazer Mott joins us to pour a selection suitable for Christmas drinking. Frazer is pouring between 5pm and 7.30pm with 10% off the price of any of the featured wines on the night.
Free pouring with Le Grappin
Friday 15 December 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm
It’s our last tasting before Christmas and we feel the need for Burgundy which is just as well because Andrew and Emma Nielsen from Le Grappin join us between 5pm and 7.30ppm to pour some delicious wines made in their winery in Beaune.
It’s free, it’s informal and it’s the last tasting of the year. Please join Andrew and Emma. There will be 10% off the usual shelf prices if you’d like to buy what you try.
